From September 25-27, IGT hosted its 10th annual Instant Ticket Customer Workshop in Madrid, Spain.
Once again, the event proved to be very successful, providing lottery product and marketing managers an opportunity to meet with peers and colleagues to exchange instant ticket learnings, case studies, insights, and developments. More importantly, it was the perfect forum to foster collaborative discussions with a view to sharing knowledge and the results of various initiatives within the industry.
This year’s workshop was attended by 27 lottery delegates from 15 lotteries, as well as representatives from IGT. The agenda was designed around the 15 attending lotteries, two IGT presentations, and also visits to retailers in the city of Madrid, organized by ONCE.
Some of the discussion topics this year were:
- Instant ticket growth and growth drivers: Higher price point development, continued reduction of number of low price points and extension of family of games.
- New game concepts / innovations in playstyle offerings such as Super Ticket, No Breakeven, Low Marquee Games, and games made to drive mobile play.
- Challenges faced by the lotteries: How to engage in new channels, payout limitations, and declines in lower price point game variety turning away new players.
- Product visibility and planogram: Increase the number of facings and new display units.
